It's a little published fact that there are two versions of the 3DF in production. There is an OEM one and an aftermarket one. Neither is compatible with the other, spider interface etc.
I only found this out a couple of weeks ago when a friend tried fitting a P2M type as to a 3DF he bought on eBay. Turns out the cranks were the OEM ones, where as the PM is designed for the aftermarket ones.
Both are 30mm for reference. I believe each uses a different tool for the lockring.
