Also, reading aobut things the Mod's have that the SA doesnt.. mixed reviews about this but I would like a rare super zombie to deal with every now and again, looks terrifying too...

I agree that cheating the system is a bit lame but like the insurance option of having a cache of your stuff.

They way I can reconcile it with my conscience is that I/we have been grinding to find the loot initially so we have done the hard work at some point!

So what happened after I died of lag yesterday? The people in the town seemed nice but must have gone nuts for all the loot.

My game crashed, I relogged but no one looted your corpse for a good 10 mins then it disappeared.

I was going to upload it but the video editor i was using kept crashing, going to find another program for editing my dayz recordings.

I respawned in the same place today, and karma bit me in the arse when some guy snuck up behind me, shot me, and pursued me finally finishing me off. Deserved it tbh, and he well and truly beat me.

Crashing? Maybe you should try OS X?! LOLZERS!

Awesome, I'm by the tents so somewhere nearish would be good, although happy to meet wherever... I'm keen to try some PvP/Bandit killing.

I had a big job booked in for Thursday and was afraid I was going to miss a DayZ outing. Just got cancelled so on the one hand I lose a bunch of money but then again: killing Zs with my Gs..

^So much this. I'm turning down work to prioritise being lazy and playing Day Z.

"Well they finally updated BEC to spam the message about the persistence issues and their reply was that persistence is now forced on and the loot spawning issue is pretty much here to stay. Their "fix" for this is that every Wednesday they are going to wipe the database and everything will be removed and thus all servers will be wiped clean and have the loot table reset. So, and I quote directly from the devs "So be sure to pick up your tents and belongings prior to the down time on Wednesday or lose it."

Don't know if this includes character files or just persistence/server files. If it's just persistence and server files then what you have on your persons (gun, inventory, clothing and backpack) will remain but everything else (tents, weapons/item stash, stashed clothing/backpacks/food and such) will be reset.

So expect the servers to be jammed packed on Wednesday after the down time and the server hoppers will be out in force. Get your loot within hours or suffer the 6 day long of drought and loot searching."

I really hope thats not the case.

Can you pack up a tent with loot in it? If you can then guess grabbing one and carrying it in your hands and logging out would save it from the refresh.

@chrisbmx116 did it give any indication of the time of day that they will run the wipe on a Wednesday?

What is the loot spawning issue?

I finally found an axe, then couldn't stop finding them but drinks are pretty rare and I haven't worked out how to get firewood yet.
