  • unsure what or where to post this. Cinelli Laser Pista Replica built by some fell named Slowie from Sweden.

  • he´s on the forum. There are pictures floating around somewhere when it was still a peugeot freakasarus.
    edit:

  • Best bang for the buck double straps? (need)

I rate the Exus laminated straps from Velosolo (about £30).

  • Tricross headset

Probably a Specialized proprietary "hiddenset" or whatever they decided to call it that year. My Sirrus had a similar thing, where the cups were hidden and almost impossible to remove. The cages are different sizes top and bottom, I'd remove them both and replace with loose balls, will feel much better.

  • Wrong thread. Frankenbikes are >>>>>>

    Unless it's yours of course.

  • this is good

  • Cheers for this.. been searching the Specialized website with no joy... it is the worst headset I have ever had the displeasure to have owners. Grinding, stiff, full of ooze and detritus. Fookin shite.
Not sure replacing with loose BBs will be a great deal better but what choice do we have...

  • You can always go to a Specialized reseller, such as Evans Cycles to get a replacement, especially since they service (do they still do this?) them there.

  • When I opened mine, the bottom cage had completely disintegrated (I probably left it a bit long before changing it!) Loose balls and a fuck-ton of lube got me through the last 6 months of ownership, just a pain to set-up!

Evans might give you a new set of caged bearing, but I would be very surprised if they go anywhere near those cups. The specialized franchise I spoke to didn't even acknowledge they existed.

  • To wrap or to put grips on risers? Opinions? Suggestions? Just got a generic pair of black ones

  • Black Ourys, super comfy, super 2008.

  • grips. bar tape doesn't really work on risers

  • Can anyone recommend some brake levers with a short reach? The dura ace ones I have aren't that comfortable a shape. I ordered some tektro ones but didn't realise they'd increase the reach so much!

  • i think people should be a bit more enthousiastic about whats coming together here..

    so dreamy..

  • Aesthetically - depends on the frame, wrapped risers look good on NJS and the like.

    Functionally - probably grips.

  • Cane Creek.

  • Ha, cheers! People are busy with their own builds mate, they don't have time to oh and ah.

And those who do, they do it via PM ;)

  • suggest me a 27.2 layback carbon post for an alu frame .. not too pricey and if pricey then i'll just go canyon vcls 2.0

  • Aren't those rebranded Ergon posts?

  • Anyway you should buy one I herd.

  • Could not resist myself to give it propper looking cockpit. Sadly was not able to put DA 7400 stem on Procraft compacts, it seemed impossible as the clamp area is bit wider.

  • This is awesome- looks great fun

  • @amey 3T Ionic Team Stealth can be had in 27.2 for c £80.00 or less currently. They're lovely well engineered posts. I have one on a Alu bike.

  • That wont work my saddle rails ..
