  • I dig that Interstellar exists. I've got time for ambitious sci-fi and even film that doesn't er... make sense.

    I loved Memento and The Prestige and thought Inception was utter bollocks. Interstellar is also bollocks but I enjoyed it. You get to sit in cinema and contemplate wormholes! I reckon Nolan deliberately keeps the audience obtuse with half-baked characters, WTF dialogue and meandering plot. I can see how that pisses people off. It's also easier than writing a really great script.

    Having just seen Gravity it was nice not to watch Clooney+Bullock in space, playing themselves, in space. I actually thought Gravity's final scene and much of the space action / sound design was surprisingly clever.

    I'm pretty sure Interstellar is less clever than it sets out to be.
