I'm guessing your still away travelling but (and to anyone else out there) quick quessie:
I'm getting a persistent ache and general soreness around the front area of my right ankle. If I was to point at an ankle diagram I'd say it's the Anterior talofibula ligament that is inflamed.
No pain while cycling but it's there when I wake up every day. I habitually unclip with my right foot. Maybe it's this or maybe I'm 'Ankling' not sure but it's annoying.
Any ideas before I just stop riding for a week to see if it changes?

Ideally RICE, but if not then try unclipping with the other foot for a while.

Doing that, backed off tension in the left pedal too - had them set as if it were on my fixed, but as it's a road beik, no need.

Don't really know where to ask this soooooo; Physiobros, for extremely tight hamstrings, ITB and gluten = TP Grid foam roller, or a Rumble Roller?
I don't care about pain, I care about being stretchy.
-
• #234
Both looks well hard to me. Are you doing any rolling at all? Just using a cheapo plain one made wonders for me. Need to get back on it as well, speaking of...

If I need an MRI to see if I have a slipped disc or sacro iliac disfunction who needs to refer me for the MRI and where is cheapest to get it done? I don't have the time or patience to wait for NHS referral.

Not sure if Michael's here at all at the mo. I PM'd him three months ago: zilch.

He was travelling for a while, but is back now. If you want his details, drop me a PM.

Sorry for delays in replying. Been a busy few months after starting a full time position at The Institute of Sport Exercise and Health on Tottenham Court Road. Still doing Monday evenings at Complete Physio in Moorgate on same contact numbers.

I'm back folks! Sorry it's been a quiet time on the thread but I've kept up with PMs.
Finally set up my own clinic with a colleague based out of The Running Works near Aldgate station. London's leading independent running shop with a cafe serving great coffee and some of the finest physio's around!?
I'm there for all Physio and bikefit needs on Tue and Thur mornings and occasional evenings.
I'm able to offer a LFGSS member discount as always - initial 60min assessments for £75 instead of the usual £95.
Message direct or mail cyclephysio@run-fast.net
Regards,
Michael.

Hello Michael,
I did a bike fit with you a couple of years back, are you still able to do it or would you have the old data you can set me up again alongside with some TLC to my old injuries? I am getting a new bike built, and I have a few bits stolen from my old bike, so the bike fit we did no longer fit...
-

The old fit was probably done at my old clinic (complete-physio) so your notes will have been archived with them. Still undertaking fits and happy to review your position. It will have probably changed somewhat over time anyway. Fits last 90min and cost £150.

Cool, the bike shop and I have some initial plans with trying / swapping some parts on the new bike, so will try those 1st then I will make an appt to see you... :-)

Great to have you back, Michael!
Change of scenery!
I've now moved from Fulham Road to The CityPoint Club on Ropemaker Street in Moorgate. Same hours (Mon and Fri 4-8pm), same contact number (02074823875) with www.complete-physio.co.uk. Self-pay rates are cheaper at £60 for a 45min assessment and £50 for a 30min follow-up.
PM any queries as usual.
Michael.
