If you sent them all to a label you could manually turn the notifications for that label on and off, little bit of a faff though.
-
• #15403
Yeah. That's an idea. They do have a label but it's not ideal, as you said. Is there some other wizardry I can try?

switch off your phone after 6 and before 9

Can you set anything up in Tasker to intervene during that time period?
-
• #15406
Cheers Hugo - can you remember any more details?
-
• #15407
Dunno. Tasker was always a bit of black magic to me, but I'll take a look.

I can't be bothered to trawl through but the new Gmail apk is available http://www.androidpolice.com/2014/10/31/gmail-5-0-exchange-support-material-design-landed-apk-download/
Just put it on my N4 now and it's lovely.

Like it...

It doesn't offer me exchange as an option when adding a new account. PAH.
-
• #15411
And you've installed the Exchange Services APK as well? http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/exchange-services/exchange-services-6-5-1520254-apk/

My MotoX is in Warrington. Not bad considering it left Shenzen on Friday and seems to have gone to Anchorage then HongKong according to Fedex's tracking...

Thanks :-)

Calendar is now also available http://www.androidpolice.com/2014/11/04/google-calendar-5-0-ready-4-0-3-devices-apk-download/

Events from emails. Perfect.

• #15416
I hope they link back to the mail, so I can open the email from the calendar entry.
I'll find out in a minute.

I found the delivery times to be pretty good too. Mine took a random trip over to Hong Kong between Anchorage and Memphis, had me confused for a while! Now it's just wrestling with FedEx about how I get hold of the pissing thing now they've failed to deliver twice.

• #15418
Did yours update or install a new calendar?
Mine did the latter, very annoying!

No sorry. I just googled "iphone screen repair" or something similar and looked for the nearest places to my work then called them all.
I was trying to save at the time so thought I'd buy a screen off ebay and do it myself. Although once I bought the screen and a mini screwdriver set (because the free set immediately stripped the second set of screws I came across) and then did it 3 times (because I left a piece out and then forgot the home button) i'm not sure it was worth it.
Also the replacement screen has now cracked (c.6m later).
If you do do it yourself I'd tape two A4 sheets to a table and fold over sticky tape so you can stick each screw / bit to the paper and write notes.

Anyone looking to shift a nexus 5?

When I signed up for Fedex's email notifications, the first message included the list of track events, and HK was listed before Anchorage and Tennessee.
Had mine delivered to work. It's nice the mail room don't object to my eBay habit.

Yeah, when I realised I was gonna have this problem I asked them to change the delivery address. What they didn't tell me was that it takes 48h to go through - I lost patience and picked it up yesterday.
Damn, it's a SNAPPY phone and feels so solid. Very happy!

Mine updated, or at least it seemed to.
I have an Inbox invite, maybe two. Anyone want one?
-
• #15425
I don't understand what's new with Inbox. My Gmail already categorizes my emails into different sub-categories automatically, but this is all I seem to see people talk about?
^ it's fucking fiddly though!
If you do, invest in some decent mini screw drivers ideally without any plating. There's a place near Wimbledon (I think) that is quite cheap.
