It's the MTB length, but @socialamnesia tells me I could buy a new road centre section for less than a tenner and use it in one of my road bikes. I'm still happy to sell it to him though, but haven't heard back yet.
Are you interested if he doesn't take it?

How was the Hope BB the wrong one then? Assume it's BSA threaded?
