Loldado shouldn't be anywhere near the first team. He contributes nothing and can't even put a tap in away. The only possible reason for playing him is to get him in the shop window, but his performances are more likely to devalue his sale price. Glue factory.
I've actually been more impressed with Adebayor in recent weeks, and if he looked sluggish last night it's probably because of the volume of games he has played, and his work rate in them. He's also notoriously useless at motivating himself for games against small clubs. Kane is a third choice striker for a reason - I like the guy and his commitment is commendable, but really he's a mid table striker. Fine to play him in easy PL games, domestic cups or Europa, but that's about it.Lamela is okay against weaker opposition- his pace causes problems, but he's still useless against a decent defence and continues to look like he has about 10 brain cells - most of which are occupied with checking his hair, doing stepovers and staying upright.

Re this year - I couldn't care less about cups or league position - we'll finish around about where we normally do most likely. Everyone who is normally there, or thereabouts (arsenal, Everton etc) are also looking pretty average at the moment.
Pochettino should just concentrate on working out who in the squad is capable of playing the system he wants them to, grilling those players into shape and moving on the rest of the dead wood on in January and the summer. Hopefully we can buy a striker in January too. -

Sounds well suited to Spurs then.

He's only 21, I wouldn't write him off as a spurs player just yet.

By the way, the irony of a Liverpool fan telling someone to get over something is not lost on me.

http://www.theguardian.com/football/datablog/2014/oct/30/the-premier-leagues-91-goalscoring-nations
Every single one of the eight World Cup winning nation has a registered Premier League goalscorer. The first of these to get a goal besides England was France thanks to Eric Cantona, who was playing for Leeds in the 1992-93 season when he got his first goal in the new league. The last was Argentina’s Horacio Carbonari in 1998.

We made Fulham look shit. All of those goals were pretty tekkers.

• #111870
hold on there a minute, Fulham are shit
-
• #111871
I wouldn't say they are shit now. Boro and Derby are the only teams to beat them since the got rid of that weird German geezer who rubbed cheese on players' injuries.

I'd post Costa Rica's, Croatia's, and Gibraltar's first goals in the Prem. But I can't be arsed finding them. Paulo, Asa, Danny.
