  • ^ @spenceey did that I believe with a Ti Van Nichols

  • They seem really good value

  • Have you guys seen the Faggin in St Benedicts Cash Converters window? Might not be any good, my eyesight was er impaired at the time.

Also, anyone good at making stencils? Some knob keeps letting their dog shit all over the walkway outside my house. Was thinking of spraying a message. Failing that I am going to stake them out one day, even if it takes me all day and I will throw it into their face*

    • unless they look mega hard, then I will just call them a cunt under my breath.
  • I had a very quick look in passing the other day - didn't look too special, but older geared bikes aren't exactly my forte any more.

This happens to us too - we have a large unused gravel drive that spreads across the corner of our road, which is so frequently used as a short cut/litter tray it's unbelievable. Can't really blame the cats, the territorial bastards, but I'm just waiting for the day I catch dog's owner just leaving the scene without cleaning up.

  • ^^ Saw that Faggin on Sunday and quite liked the look of it but I think it would be too small for me. I think I just liked the faded bling colour.

  • More Anton Krupicka, for @jakjakjak and anyone else:

  • So I've found that my saddle keeps slipping, the saddle goes further back which is really quite odd, I've tightened it as much as I could. I've added a little bit of electrical tape to try and shim it or monitor it a bit.

Also any extra links of chain you guys have got and don't need anymore let me know! I need to make one of those sweet hipster seat stealing prevention things

Edit: also finding that regardless my seat post moves and lowers itself, is it worth shimming it?

  • I may have an old chain if you want it. Also I totally forgot about that stem, do you still need it?

  • Yes to both of those! :) however stem may have to wait as I am broke! :(

  • PMed chap.

In other news this bike has brought on a bit of an existential crisis..

    http://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/FBPXXLSRIV/planet-x-xls-sram-rival-urban-commuter

  • No mudguard eyes, perfect commuter then!

  • Aha yeah, I did think that!

  • Where's everybody gone?!

  • Hibernating @rikki?

  • Ah, fair weather forumengers!

  • Riding brakeless in the wet, slide like crazy which is hella fun! Coming back home down st Benedicts, goin to the lights at grapes hill, whip skid like a crazy kid and soak my entire legs in the process.

    Shit fixie skidders say

  • Get some brakes! ;)

  • #wouldrep

Bike ride in the rain was treacherous enough with brake yesterday, wouldn't ride without anymore...reformed character!

  • I'm not a southerner, I can handle a bit of water ;)

He says on a forum dedicated for southern bike scene

  • Woch yoor maaf mayte

You may be able to handle a bit of water but even the best of us probably couldn't handle being side-swiped by a taxi!

  • Haha! I know mate, I do tend to be careful and I do know the risks!

On other note, have you bought a new frame yet?

  • #brakesaredeath

If you run a brake, you're less likely to die...fact...I mean you'll look 0.01% less cool, but if being dead is your thing, brakeless is the way to go

  • Hahah nah it's not that, i don't not have a brake because it's cool, if someone gives me a brake i'll put it on but i don't have the cash currently to buy one

  • Haha, I may actually have something knocking about. Nope no new frame yet, possible change of plan as I suspected but watch this space (you'll probably be watching for quite a while..)

  • Did you see the USSR frame in the classified? Can't remember exactly, would love one of those for a beater
