  • Yeah I've had problems with the plastic stuff.

    Velox fond de jante comes in several widths and works nicely. It doesn't last forever though and might need replacing before the rim is dead.

    I don't think I'll ever see the end of these rims. Wish to replace the wheelset for this specific bike anyway with tubeless anyway. Found the velox for just over 2 euro's. Not a problem to purchase a bunch of them. Might as well put them on my pub, crit and roadbike.

    The problem is that the adhesive will dry out while you're waiting for the first set to rot on your rims. Buy factory fresh when you need them, it will be a couple of years even in the worst case, on a sunny Sunday bike I've had Velox last a decade.
