As my dad is from Shrewsbury and my uncle was on the board for most of the 80s, so I should take offense at that. But I can't really as it's all so mild, and anyway, it reminded me that, as a youngster, I had the immense pleasure of watching from the directors box at Stamford Bridge as they humbled the flash Harrys from the Kings Road.

And again from the terraces of the Gay Meadow. Who ever thought that was a good idea for the name of a football ground.

re: Spurs. Pochettino just needs time - the whole thing is WIP. I'm happier with the direction we appear to be going in than with any of the other managers we've had that I can remember, despite the poor start to the season points-wise.
Too many of the players can't seem to play in the system he wants to and make stupid mistakes or revert back to older habits. We are also short of goals for a team which has spent so much. Add a 20 goal a season striker and a reliable centre back to replace Kaboul - we'd be there or there abouts. -
• #111806
But which of your top-class players do you sell to the top four in order to make way for striker and centre back?
-
• #111807
None :( We don't have any top class players (Lloris excepted) - they are all B/B+ rather than A/A+.. that's the problem.

League cup night and I've decided to make the epic journey to a mid week away match, who's with me?
-
• #111809
I'll be there. Leaving work in a bit to meet my brother.

come on shoosbury
-
• #111814
...it sounds as though MB will not be lasting very long; he's been such a bell with teammates (coming out late/not doing what anyone else is doing/fucking about/being a distraction) on the warm up Mike Marsh has had to tell him to fuck off and shoved him off the pitch...

This is the kind of player that gets managers their p45s

• #111816
we played really well in the first half best i've seen for a while, but with no real end product
coutihno had his best game in a long time, the ball was stuck to his feet at times
mario and lovren score to save the day ... worst two signings of the summer bar markovic finally coming good ?
i really didn't think we'd score after swansea went ahead -

Five past Fulham. Again... This is getting boring.
-
• #111818
No it's not, predictable yes, boring never

• #111819
That's quite a decisive comeback.

• #111820
Well that was a wasted trip. Total balls

Just got home. Still high off the result. Was a frustrating first half with two shit passes being capitalised on by Fulham. The penalty before half time was meant that we weren't out of it, but we needed to come out fighting second half. And we did. Fuck me, we blew them away for the first half hour of the second half. Amazing to watch.
I'd be interested to see how we fare against better opposition in the next round.

• #111822
Er, weren't you at the game?

Clattenburg banned for a week for going to an Ed Sheeran gig and talking to Neil Warnock. There's nothing not to like about that.
