this is easy stuff. I use an ancient mac mini with itunes, a NAS and USB dac attached to my main stereo. Control is by phone or ipad ('remote' app) and have extended it into the kitchen with an airport express. Basically a cheap sonos, but no high rez support or anything fancy.
I still buy cds and rip them,as I find a better selection of music still on hard copy and I just like buying cds and vinyl. If there was a product that could provide additional streaming functionality using my existing kit I'd be very interested.
JUST TAKE MY MONEY AND BUILD SOMETHING THAT WILL READ MY FUCKING CDS AND PUT THEM SOMEWHERE I CAN PLAYBACK. EITHER ON A COMPUTER TETHERED TO AN AMP OR SOMETHING SENDING THEM TO A DEVICE THROUGH THE AIR.
