it dont under stand why you would want more than the cost of the paintjob back, plus it looks pretty cool as is.

The trouble is that the cost of the paint job to mielec is much less than the cost to Murphy's Law would be. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect at least a decent amount of that cost covered if he actually intends to get it repainted. I do think it looks cool as it is though!

If he paid Robert €10 to do the paintwork then unfortunately he cannot expect to receive more than that for damage to it.

That was sort of my all encompasing DUH response to the matter.

Well, whatever. It's settled. Bike rides great, I love it.

Are the "new" dropouts that much better? Asked Robert and he quoted me €35,- for the "new" ones and sent a picture of the standard dropouts. Is it worth paying cuz the standard look quite good to me.

I like the fact that the new dropouts have mismatched screws.

The image url would have one believe that the pictured new dropout is on a Dos.

Guys please - are those H+S? Are there comparable 40mm alloy rims out there?

I think they're Velocity B43's.

edit - after some research I will perhaps go with h+s or a mavic ellipse wheelset. It would be interesting though, so if anyone knows the rims, please let me know.

I´ve found Samson rims, they´ve got a pretty large palette of rims for every purpose - http://www.jh-samson.com/en/Double-Wall_Rim.html

The rims look like Weinmenn Pegasus to me.
V-Sprint use them on their track wheel sets.

Mine arrived last night... well packed, good nick, and Robert didn't charge any extra for Singapore delivery... Wont be built up till the New year but will be back...
