• Indeed, the chase is over for me, too. I no longer feel like I want the fastest baddest handset anymore. I don't make that many calls and getting 3k mins per month is a waste. Vodafone have twisted my nipple one time too many by not keeping to a promise they recently made and I'm at the end of my contract. Plus the amount they charge for data useage is a complete rip off- despite being with them for about 12 years.

I thought about staying strictly behind the curve and going with giff gaff and just buying handsets that are a few months old but Reen suggests not going with a provider that can do 4G would be an error. The only things I use my phone for are: maps, reading calendar/emails and light browsing. for these things I like a big screen.

    Any thoughts?

  • My last renewal with Vodafone they gave me unlimited texts & calls plus 4GB of 4G data for £15 a month, sim only year contract. I didn't even haggle for that, it was just offered to me (I hadn't even called them to renew my contract, I was querying something else)
