I bought the complete bike from Seth Rosko (http://rosko.cc/) who is ex BMW. This frame has been modified to run a 26" rear. According to Seth this bike was a middle ground before they came out with the 26" Big Ben.
It's been modified by cutting a new slot into the dropout and then modifying the rear brake bridge to take a 26" wheel. A ISO disk tab was then welded on. It runs an old american style eccentric bottom bracket.
It looks like it's had a lot of good use in its time, and has recently it's been sitting in a workshop in Brooklyn gathering dust. So far I've had the rear wheel rebuilt as the rim was shot, but will probably replace a few other bits and generally clean it up.
Colour is sparkle granny smith, but the paint is chipped in plenty of places. Not sure if I'll get a respray or clean and clear-coat it.
It'll take a 26" rear but the clearance is tight, 26x2.1 doesn't fit, I think 26x1.95 might fit but didn't have one to hand. Right now I've got a 26x1.75 which is fine.
