  • Awesome, thank you!

  • So, I'm almost back to reality! Move into the house at the end of next week, then might finally get to meet some peoples. Just got my mates wedding this weekend, got to chauffeur the bride in his splitscreen!

  • Nice, welcome back. Beers next week too then?

  • Possibly, are there some arranged? I'm living in Hingham with my parents until we get the house so not exceptionally close, but could drive in.

  • possibly tomorrow but any excuse for a few more another day

  • The s-works bike in the window of that sporty shop opposite HSBC in town, got my blood pumping, things a beauty!

  • Cycles UK...

    Saw you earlier dude

  • Sounds about right, it's lovely!

Where abouts? I went to halfords at some point this morning to get some more tubes!

  • Yep, saw you come past Honda

  • I swear you must stare out that window all day!

  • Haha, no I was outside enjoying the sunshine on this occasion!

  • Anyone going to the Magdalen St Celebration on Saturday? I might head along if my washing machine arrives early on, been given the highly accurate "window" of 7am-7pm for delivery.

  • Don't know anything about it?

  • I'll probably pop by at some stage

  • I guess the Dandy lot aren't involved this year, I haven't heard anything about it anyway - I'm sure they had bands and beer and stuff last year?

They'll obviously be busy by association, but maybe they've been ousted from the #magstposse!

  • Back to the off topic, I did get a bike via the cycle to work scheme a few years back from Evans.
The thing went pretty easy, went to the shop for an order or bike + accessories for £600, went back to the office, was given a URL where to enter my information, company, employee number, voucher value etc.
The HR would get an e-mail from the scheme, and after a few days I got my voucher which I printed and went to Evans to make the actual order and walked away with my bike and accessories (which they had all in stock.)

I paid £24 a month net for 12 months which was ridiculously low as it was less than half what I actually got! (£288 was the total I paid for some reason)

I think Evans automatically extends the lease to 5 years to avoid you paying back 18% of the bike value if you want to keep it. I sold the bike last year although, technically, is not mine.
But I suspect Evans or my company just forgot about the whole thing and after few years the value of the bike goes very low anyway (there's a table on the scheme pages)

  • I know they've placed an enormous order of bagels to ensure they're fully stocked!

...and no, not just in case I pop in!

  • ...and no, not just in case I pop in!

Ahah, it can't hurt to be prepared!

  • Well you've cleared them out bike parts and drank all their coffee the other day, you may as well move on to the bagels

  • I will be popping past for one shortly...but just one....and a coffee...

  • Thanks for all the info! Done a bit more research and I don't think they do it where I'm currently working unfortunately so I'm going to have to hold out for a while.

Also someone please buy this and save it http://www.lfgss.com/conversations/253784/#comment11872583
