i couldn't possibly cheat on the Bricklayers Arms. They know where i live and most of the regulars in there have knives.

Anyone know where the roti lady has gone? Last time I saw her she seemed to have taken over the whole of the fried chicken place on station road, but shutters have been down every time I've gone past recently.

She's been selling out of an Eski in front of the chicken shop, the last few times she went out she had to throw most of it away... She's struggling...
I spoke to her last week and she said she might do Friday and Saturday, if she could be bothered... She's looking into getting a street stall soon tho'... #rotiupdate

Thanks, I was almost reduced to posting on urban75 to find out where she'd gone.
I must keep missing her - tend to be down there earlier in the week rather than Fridays/Saturdays. Was enjoying that she could do freshly cooked rotis again when she was operating out of the shop so had high hopes that was going to continue.

sofa pic:
SE dwellers, anyone want a small (two and a half seat I think is the official designation) handmade sofa?
Dark brown fabric, feather over foam cushions, high back and square arms (for balancing your cup of tea and a biscuit on). It was bespoke and cost £150o 5-6 years ago. It is however, in need of a clean (on account of having cups of tea and biscuits balanced on it).
Would take any reasonable offer. I'm thinking between £150-£200 is fair collected. Based in SE23 Forest Hill. Will add a pic later.

Will they struggle? Brindisa is always empty when I go past... Not that I go into Brixton in the evenings, could be packed every night for all I know...
-
• #1616
da fuq? Why didn't I hear about this? Agreed to take my team to Wahaca tomorrow night. Balls.

Nah man, I mean like, yah, Tomasina has always, you know, totally, loved Brixton, yeah?

According to my old landlord (Brixton property developer, also part of the problem), that building was sold for £400k to the same guys that bought the Grosvenor... He had bid more for it but Lambeth still gave it to them... Lambeth are crooks...

I'll have the papers drawn up this morning... You've changed, stevo, I blame Neil... ;P
I've been getting the train in this week... Sooooooo many Tarquins and Cressidas clippety-cloppeting up Effra Road to get to Brixton station...
Things are much worse than I thought...

Brady's was an interesting place to drink, particularly in the early hours when the hardened alcoholics would make their way there as the other pubs shut. I don't mind Wahaca, but I'd much rather have seen a grotty pub make a comeback.

Brady's was such a freakshow, amazing place...

pretty sure you can see the same crowd spilling out of the Beehive at nine in the morning.
Exciting times in Loughborough Junction - proposals in place for major development and infrastructure improvements which may make the area a little more user friendly for cyclists and pedestrians.
