Check the chassis as quite a few have had drivers that ran out of talent mid corner. The Lotus K series can have the same K series issues such as the porous head casting but the different position of the thermostat means less overheating issues. Also the cars are better looked after so the vvc engine makes 150bhp over the mgf 120bhp. Later MGF made more but meh to that.
Oh and drive one and see if you and the other half fit in one with comfort.
