  • thx, I had the full 600 tricolor groupset, with gunmetal brakes/levers.
I wondered if the Dura Ace group would not be better, or just upgrade the crank and the rear derailleur.

@miro_o & @Breso: before cleaning just after purchasing he was like that:

For the head stem and handlebar I will buy a 26mm compact handlebar and black 100mm stem.

@hugo7: It's my only road bike currently so no fixie, and i'm waiting for a BMW gangsta V2 for this winter ;)

I guess I could put 28/30 mm section

  • new rims, handlebars and you are ready to go in my opinion!
black stem alone doesn't make much sense...

  • We're slammin' hope you like slammin' too

  • I put some more sensible wheels on my vivalo but made a bit of a mistake putting a euro asia cog and a DA lock ring on phill wood hubs. Took everything off tho and the threads seem fine, will find something suitable for them later.

  • If the PW/campa lock ring goes on too easy, you need to go with the DA lock ring - once damaged, stay with the re-threaded instead of gangbanging back and forth between dif standards.

  • Aye I figured I might end up in that situation, the threads on the other side of the hub are intact anyway so i can just swap over if need be.

  • Changed the pedals. Would like to have it with the cages but just feels better with cleats.. Also looking to get a bigger chainring 52t if anyone has a campag (track or road) for sale PM please.

  • The 52 will also slam the rear wheel to match the lovely clearance from the frontwheel

  • Exactly, think it would be a perfect fit! guess i'm slamming too :)

  • You're obsessed.

    That's a fantastic bike @countryboj . I love the fork crown.

  • Why go ahead when you have threaded forks? Getting new forks?

  • black stem alone doesn't make much sense...

You're not a fan? It's looked great on Colnagos in the 70s through to Gios in the 90s.

  • I am a fan myself but I thought it won't work on that frame, especially with a fancy paintjob like that... and if he will choose to stick to the 600 tricolor.
It's all about trying out, I just hope he won't choose to get an ahead adaptor and put a ahead stem as somebody understood :)

  • Admittedly the gunmetal-stem&bars + silver-group isn't something I've seen often. Although it's actually how I've got my track bike setup.

  • Thanks @miro_o, Rossin make some stunning detailed frames and that fork crown is one of my favourite, so elegant.

  • Love this build so much...
I think I may have a spare Campag 52 too...
Totes jelly of this build actually.

  • Gone from this:

    To this:

Rides just the same, feels more responsive.

  • Bartape/grips away from being done:

Any suggestions? Or just go safe with black to match saddle.

  • Oury's for that 2007 look. Neon of your choice.

  • So seatpost

  • Looks ridiculous in that photo... It's not that noticeable in reality. Perspective I guess...

  • Winter mode enabled.
