It might be enough though. Laptop to GSC is probably about 6 ft.

The GSC is designed to Reach a bar mounted computer. So you just need to get the dongle a little closer.

Laptop to gsc is very similar distance to gsc to bars.
I would have thought that if that was a problem, it wouldn't be recording the cadence either. it is....

Done the obvious stuff like pairing the devices?

Have you tried re-pairing it in the devices menu on trainer road?.

I'm considering having a go at this 8 days in California challenge.
Anyone else feeling daft/bored/sad enough?

Weather is too good.
Accepting all the strava Challenges instead. Including a cool climbing one.
Trainerroad really should copy Strava, and give you the opertunity to buy something should you complete it.
A towelling jersey perhaps.

Not to my taste.
No, it's no looker.
Although it's still much better than what I currently wear when using the turbo D:

Partly inspired by the weekend's awful weather, I started the 8 day challenge
Three stages down and my legs are starting to feel it. Time to find some htfu :-/

Mondays stage looked tough.
Impressively shallow Power curve BTW. I Guess Our FTPs are pretty similar. But my curve drops through the floor.

Stage three was the toughest so far. I ended up being dropped on the final climb.
The circuit at the end of stage seven looks horrific.

I like that sort of thing. Its the long efforts that end me.

Oof! I guess I'm going to have to work on that stuff a bit more.
Hopefully outside, on a little off-road loop though :-)
-
• #268
I've never actually found a use for it.
I also reckon off-road is where the stop/start Power is used most.

It's that time of year again. Fucking ouchy.

• #270
I've been thinking that too... Think it's the darker / shorter days... Oh dear....

Anybody else do the Clarence King workout? Six 10 min ramping tests.
Can. Not. Finish.
-
• #273
Not yet :-)

What is going on?
My FTP is apparently 197 (stop laughing).
I've been doing, or trying, the cyclocross sessions. Ride at FTP, smash it for 30, ride at FTP, smash, etc.
I cannot hold my FTP.It's because I'm weak right?

Some of the hardest sessions I do on the turbo are over/unders. Usually 95%/110%.
Sounds a little like what you're doing and these definitely hurt after a bit. The good news is that these can produce good results quickly.
Yeah. Mines more like 50cm. Lazy googling.
