Ugh. I didn't think blind people were allowed to ride motorbikes.
Now the new Ducati scrambler on the other hand looks rather tasty.

it is fugly no matter what it can do

Not sure why they didn't go for a full rear mudguard with the Ducati, to me that's one of the defining parts of the classic bike look. Overall it looks too modern to be classic for my taste. Surely high side pipes would have suited a scrambler look better too.

Should definitely have high pipes. I think it's a bit of a rare styling miss for Ducati. Unusual, especially as their previous attempts at retro have been so well formed. They've aimed somewhere in between flat track and desert sled and missed both. That said, it could be improved a lot with minor tweaks and should be a lot more fun to ride than the Triumph scrambler.
That Kwak is a engineering willy waving exercise the likes we haven't seen since the NR750. If the supercharger works, the implications for a new generation of sports lightweighs is immense. It's so cool that they've built it.

After almost 3 years off the bike, picked up an N reg CB500 today, really wanted to go for. Cb600f or cbf600 but as I'll be using it for commuting over winter, thought they were a bit shiny. Rode about 70 miles back on the cb500 and really enjoyed it, quicker than I was expecting to be honest, should do the job nicely, and I love the understated looks.

Sort the forks out, and is it a drum rear or disc? Brembo front caliper? Which ever use the honda oe pads as they are cheap and better than the rest.

Incredible specs and it looks lethal. Not a bike I have any need for, but it does inspire the odd pipe dream. I wonder if they'll ever run one at the IOM TT. The NR750, oval pistons, why did that never catch on!

Size?

Yeah oval pistons AND 8 valves per cylinder. Astonishing sounding thing.

Drum rear, nissin front, forks ok not leaking at all. Don't mind drum rear. Whole bike feels good aside from the guy before me put on some shitty mini indicators, and the half job put a pair of old indicators under the saddle instead of wiring them properly, found loads of exposed cable junctions but for now just secured everything and covered with leccy tape.

Just came across 30 'tamper-proof' tax disc holders I bought a few years ago to sell at a profit. Shit.

In other news I've finally got my Triumph road worthy after it was stolen/recovered. Now I'm intimate with ignition replacement all I can say is get a disc lock, a big chain and a crucifix cause they're a piece of piss to steal.
And judging by my rear tyre somewhere there's a McDonald's car park with a lot of my rubber left behind.

other sellers on the bay are still selling them. maybe they are going abroad or used to hold club member discs

Looks a bit like dealers getting rid of dead stock. Maybe I'll cover the car windscreen of an enemy with 'em :)
Scooter still looks fresh BQ, I dragged mine out of my parents shed and put a spare engine in to have it rolling. I've promised myself to get back on the road this year, we'll have a forum tear up next spring!

Parking permits?

What size rear? Is it a 180?
-
• #5573
Hmmm can't remember. I'll have a look tomorrow. Not too bothered, I replaced the front fairly recently but was waiting until the end of summer to do the rear (Michelin Pilot Road 2 I think instead of the Battleaxe on there already).
Anyone want a tax disc/ permit holder?!
-
• #5574
I haven't put a tax disc on any of my bikes in years. I used to keep a colour photocopy in the holder of the triumph, and keep the original in my wallet, but I stopped bothering to do that.

It's getting cold in the mornings when I'm going to work(5.45am). Any recommendations for fairly cheap winter boots, mine are fcuked and I like to keep my feet warm.
^ only 15 going to the UK and approx £50K!
