OP has clearly demonstrated the advanced stages of listitis.
Listeria.

Rarely does a pun come along that so utterly obvious, and yet you totally screwed the pooch.
I'm hoping that, after you requested your account to be deleted, you punched yourself in the cock until you lost consciousness.

Smoked cheese can do one.

They tease with their promises of Tomme Crayeuse. It seems like forever since they had a good one.
If you like the brie de melun, the Coulommiers is always a good bet.

U wot m8? They're not even similar in character. Both amazing but Melun is a banquet, Coulommiers is in a field (with a cider) >>>

Your mum's not even similar in character etc...

• #64
Then what the hell was I thinking of, if it's not Coulommier?
I'll just stick to dairylee
-
• #65
No, your a mum..... and so forth.

I'm sure you are thinking of Coulommier. It's the Rolls Royce of farmhousey, rustic camenbert-like, penicillin rind, french stinkers. It's wonderful.
Melun though is refined, creamy and delicate whilst the Coulommier is sticky, rich, earthier.

Fucking love Oscypek!

Yes! Any idea where I can find it in London?

Maybe I had the mistaken the Melun for a different cheese then, or the Melun I had was honking.
The Mons lot are all I the alps at the moment - Looks like cheesey fun.

Got any Polski Skleps near you?
-
• #71
Both are unpasturised, traditionaly made amazing french cheeses. tl:dr ... both will stink!
Do any of the Mons crew cycle? Any on here do you know?
-
• #72
I think there are a few on my way home...might have to pop in...
-
• #73
There were two fellas that cycled - one had a nice Bob Jackson, IIRC, and was on here.
Not sure if they are still there though, other than helping out at busy times.

They don't always have it and some of the stuff over here won't be proper stuff but you can get pretty close to it over here. You can't beat going into the hills and finding a little smoking hut and buying it direct from the manufacturer :)

Something will be better than nothing ha!
Agree nothing will beat the original but I dont have a polish gf anymore that used to get it for me!
Still white lining, we have colleagues in poland and I've just had an email back from him saying he will send some over. Watch this space.
At a wedding at the weekend, bring a dish reception. There's always one upstages the rest...
