  • Hi all,

New project!, bought this bianchi yesterday.

Plans: Campagnolo Chorus / Gipiemme Crono
Looking for: Rear Wheel, Headset, Saddle

If you have any ideas about the group set, let me know!
Mavic rear mech and simplex shifters are for sale.

  • Nice score! This should be good!

  • Chorus? no no.....gipiemme crono is a good idea, but i think c-record delta is better :)

  • Hmmm, c-record Delta is too expensive...
Maybe I'll go for a full gipiemme group set!

  • Bianchi TT frame is more expensive than c-record...
    Gipiemme is ok ;)

  • Found some spare parts.

I think I prefer the moscow over the mavic bars...
Still not sure about gipiemme, but the shifters are lush!

  • gipiemme is different, i was thinking PMP cranks or maybe some modolo bits like kronos but it may look a bit mish mash

  • Interesting! Would PMP be period correct?

  • i think theyre from 1980, but they have legendary status for being a bad idea - dubious benefit if any, more weight and potentially a weak 90 deg corner. Just a cycling curiosity i suppose. What age is the frame? mid-late 80s?

  • I'm not sure about the age yet, I guess late 80s.
The PMP cranks have always interested me, but they are difficult to fit in a group set.

  • Looking for trispoke rear?

  • @Pro_Tox : PMed

    Update:

    3ttt Moscow
    Chorus shifters
    Chorus Rear / Front Mech
    Chorus Monoplanars
    Aero Seatpost
    Flite
Wolber TX profil - Chorus Rearwheel

Campa Aero levers and Record Headset are on their way.

  • Hi, I've got a few. A low-cost 700c yellow tri-spoke 8-speed machined rims clincher (unbranded but looks very much alike Spengle) and also 700c Specialized black clincher as well as tubular.

  • @ Pro_Tox

Thanks, but I'm only interested in a Mavic 3G.
I already have a Specialized anyway...!

  • Damn, i've been looking for this frame for a while now.
    Enjoy

  • Reinier, you can switch out the hubs on 3G's so if a rear is hard to find you try and find a frontwheel and a rearhub :).

(I have a front 3G for sale on mp :P)

  • @Carabo

Saw your ad on mp, looks good!
But for now I'll build it with the wolber wheels.
    Maybe I'll sell the 3G....

  • I know the frame is a little different and maybe too late to suggest, but you could do Fir 3/4 spokes and Killing system rear... As the gatorade team in the early 90s. Can't wait to see it finished

  • @Breso

Thanks! I've thought about this but I don't like the Dura Ace group.
But the Fir wheels looks awesome...

    Here is a better photo:

  • Campagnolo goes well with Fir wheels! Not easy to find tho

  • I have Fir wheels on my Rauler TT and they are very beautiful :)

  • Some parts arrived yesterday.
Still have a lot to do!

Any ideas about handlebar tape? Color /Material?

  • Usually the color of the handlebar tape is the same of the decals...

  • Headset installed, Delta Brakes on their way!

  • Delta brakes, c-record front- and rear mech arrived.
Wolber tx-profil frontwheel is almost done, needs truing.

To do: Cables, Chain, Handlebar tape.

Bought a cinelli tempo (uncut) so I have to decide: moscow or tempo?!
    What do you guys think?
