The next two games for us are crucial; Liverpool away and Man U at home. With rocky starts from both, we've got to believe a point or two are available...
Easy 6 points there.

goes against the essential rule of headers and volleys though - No self made efforts
agreed it was a beauty though

Totally would. Dreamboat.
I wish my hair was that good.

Jolly volleys were allowed when numbers in the game were low.

Re: Spuds Arsenal game this weekend. I think a point was probably fair for both teams - Arsenal had more chances, but I think that was only because Spurs made so many poor choices on the counter. There was a point when Arsenal were chasing the game where they were wide open, but we weren't able to take advantage of that because of poor decision making or lack of movement off the ball.
Lamela though... I know he got the assist for the goal, but such a poor performance otherwise. I find myself screaming at the TV every time I see him play - unbelievably wasteful in possession and I think the decision to take Eriksen off and keep Lamela on was probably the one thing MP got wrong.
Also a special mention for the massive waste of a shirt that is Adebayor. Seriously. Can we get rid of him and Soldado please.

Apparently Wenger is making the lads concentrate on corners and set pieces in training. What has it only taken him nearly a decade to figure this out?
When will he realise the defence is shit?
Could have paid me half that wage I could have figured it out earlier than him.

"He called me ‘Gerd’ and congratulated me on the ’74 final” – Thomas Müller.
“He was fine until I saw him acting strange. Then he came to me and said ‘Manu, let me play as the goalkeeper’” – Manuel Neuer.
“I wasn’t worried at first, he played normally. But things started when he came to me and said he wanted to take the captain’s band from my arm. I thought ‘what’s going on here’. When he wanted to trade shirts with the ref I thought ‘it’s enough now’” – Philipp Lahm.
Christoph Kramer’s Germany team-mates reveal the worrying extent to which the young midfielder’s mind was scrambled by that bang on the head in the World Cup final before he was finally taken off."
Amazing, actual lol irl

They'd be nuts if they did that. Surely Liverpool are the prime example of drilling a team on the training ground for 7 days uninterrupted and getting maximum results in return.
Whoever thinks its a good idea to fly 15 hours midweek to play a pointless friendly in Al Ain should get their heads checked out. On the flip side of things, Utd might actually stand a chance of winning a game.

Also, MOTD2 Extra, a format that is long overdue and glad fully no place for Lawro or Shearer on their panel.

I disagree about Lamela. Yes, his touch was off at times, but he's been out for pretty much an entire season and is only 6 games in. He worked harder than anyone, bar maybe Chadli. Several times he tracked back way into our half to press. Adebayor was more concerned about standing around looking deflated, the lazy cunt. Eriksen was fucking terrible and that's coming from someone who sang his praises all last year, before he actually came good. Yes, he picked Flamini's pocket and started the move for the goal, but that was the only positive thing he contributed. He needs to get his finger out and start working. He's potentially not all that happy playing slightly more on the wing, but needs to deal with it. Sulking and putting half arsed performances in isn't going to help.

@nesbit Lamela cost 30million quid ffs. I really don't think he's very good. That said, I hope he proves me wrong like Chadli.
Vertonghen and Kaboul were fantastic at the back too. Agree with you on Eriksen but despite phoning in his performance off the ball, he still knits things together well in midfield when in possession.

Pleased for Tim that he finally got to see albion put a shift in and regain the feel good factor. First half didn't look too good in the pub. Slow build up play in and around the halfway zone inevitably resulted in pass backs to Foster who lumped it up ( so why not just lump it up earlier in the move and save us all the time) or a hopeful long ball that was gobbled up easily by Burnley. If their goalkeeper hadn't been so woeful on corners it would have been a different second half. As it happened it turned out to be the easiest 45 we will get all season. Happy that Dorrans is enjoying himself and that Saido and Dawson are getting game time. Well done Baggies

Bournemouth >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Good win, against tricky opposition. Still managed to win despite the ref disallowing a goal for us and sending their keeper off instead. One point from the top of the table now...
So basically Costa does not even train that much at the moment. And yet he is top scorer. Just imagine if he was training fully.
I do wonder how Chelsea payers are hardly ever injured. What are they doing so well/differently?
