  • I recently got bored of those crappy cateye "flextight" brackets, so I designed a little adaptor that would work with a gopro handlebar clamp and my cateye light. I got it 3D printed and tried it out today. Needs a bit of loctite on the holding screw, but apart from that, it seems to work well. I'm just designing one that doesn't need the part from the cateye bracket, but it will then lose it's rotation. Would any of you guys be interested in either version if I got a few made? Price would probably come in at ~£10 made from this stuff.

  • I like this idea, but don't own a GoPro, a GoPro mount, or a CatEye light.

I support any effort to standardise accessory-to-bracket interfaces.

  • Yeah, it seems more and more stuff is using the gopro system (knog, shimano, a few other cameras..). The gopro mount in itself is only ~£2.50 from alibaba, and is quite a compact, secure mounting system, so would be worth the investment if you had other stuff you wanted to mount and adapters were made available.
