No, he doesn't. Because I said you can use a figure between NP and AP to get a rough idea of your FTP. But the figure you use will depend on the persons characteristics. You can't used NP as FTP or the same % of NP, however you can use a % relative to the person.
I can blow NP away. But some people can't get NP much above their AP.
But in the end. Threshold is what you can average for ~ 1hour, as Neil said. And nothing else. Everything else is an approximation. That can get you close enough.
