Just got the sulphur mine.

A productive day...

Been playing for 5 minutes. Hooked. Building a trading post.

you've got a long, looooooong way to go. So good and it cookie saves your game.

You can export your game as a text file as well. It was a bit broken for me in chrome (wouldn't let me select or copy it) but I found I could drag the whole lot into an empty notepad and save that.

Not tried reloading it yet, will find out if that works when I get home.

Been playing The Long Dark which I kickstarted a while back. It's only the sand box alpha, but still finding it very enjoyable, but also a bitch to survive long. Can't wait for the actual story to be released

Does it required other online players to make the most of it or can you play it single?

I've ventured onto the dusty path for the first time after saving up as much armour and water and cured meat as I could without realising that you're limited to 20 items you can bring. Have explored and vanquished a few caves an iron mine and enjoyed several outposts. Have a raucous village. A stranger asking for medicine has left me some energy cells. Looking forward to building a convoy.

I had a Heroes of Might and Magic III night with a mate from work last night, was so pleased to find someone who had played it in the past! Anyone else a fan?

Watched a video online of someone playing it, looks nice but the wolf attacks seemed to occur quite often!

Anyone play the Civ games? Not really sure what i'm meant to be doing/do next

it's not really worth invading city states, pay them to get more votes later in the game when there is the UN

Ah ok, I'll leave them then. Should I be attacking? or just advancing. I tried attacking Caesar too but his guys fire much further than mine so that was a massacre

I generally don't start trying to invade early. It's better to have one city just pumping out units constantly so no one dares to attack you. Make sure you have loads of markets and trading posts built to get the most gold possible and later on form a truce and get an ally to help you invade someone else.

You need to send your swordsmen into the city tile itself once the red bar is depleted, you can't capture it with ranged units.

Bide your time then nuke everything.

Then close the games and open Fallout.

@edscoble it's not an MMO/Multiplayer... the current sandbox is you survived a plane crash and are in the asshole of nowhere in midwinter. Survive 50+ days.

@mmccarthy I think they altered that. I've been playing a few hours and only died once to a wolf. There is one with a 50/50 spawn rate inside the dam, so I avoid that place.
