Give it some time, I'm sure there'll be more coming soon, there's a 650b 2.8 tyres that (theoretically) can fit 29ers frame;

Yeah, I was looking at them as something to stick on through winter to replace the Knard when it starts getting muddy around here. Guessing the 29+ Dirt Wizard will probably arrive in the next few months, I assume that'll be a touch more expensive than the Knard, but not as pricy as the Chronicle.

13 Bike Co
lozzlez
OK looking frames, wheels look naff
-
• #407
I was expecting something with more macabre styling like Subrosa or Bone Deth BMX brands.

Internal cabling looks terrible

13 bikes range of 15 bikes... impressive, more than I would have expected from them.

All bikes were designed in a prison cell. Presumably this was due to legal action resulting from fitting the forks on a Boardman backwards. It's basically the Shawshank Redemption with a wind tunnel instead of a sewer. And a Dell instead of the little book to hide a hammer. They manage to escape to Wales by the looks of it but then there are firstly mountainbikes, then hybrids in (what looks like) Newport at which point I lost interest.
DO NOT WANT.

those seat posts look super budget

FYI halfords owns boardman bikes. So they properly are decent biks for the money.
-
• #413
Why buy Boardman and then sign a deal to exclusively distribute a competitor brand? Makes no sense.
I don't think they look terrible though. Agree re wheels - they look piss poor.

They are, I honestly think they routed the front brakes like that to make it look aerodynamic rather than actually offering any advantage.

Why sell Specialized when you also sell Trek?
-
• #416
A lots of bicycle shops often focus on one brand (our for instance, is Trek), and sell others alongside, we get a better profit margin when we sell predominantly Trek.
Halfords is in a win-win situation by owning both Boardman and 13 Bikes Co (not in any relation to 14 Bikes Co, whom are like, one better) meaning they don't have to worry about profit margin with their own brands.

They've owned it for a few months haven't they? They are good bikes, but I'm not sure that's to the retailer's credit.
These 13 things are amazing specs for the money, but I still don't want one.
-
• #418
That ugly headtube leads me to believe they really did take these to the wind tunnel.
Direct mount of the front brake out of the wind will probably do something, but I still don't want one.

I can understand selling brands at two distinct markets, but these are both pitched at those spending £750-£1500 on a first/second bike seemingly.
They don't own 13 do they?

The Planet X London Road is available as a frameset now too: https://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/FRPXLONROD/planet-x-london-road-frameset

it means that the costumer get to be choosey while still spending in the same shop. It's brilliant actually to have several brands in the same store and profit on all.

13 bikes are sponsored by +31t®um and they're almost the same as 14 bikes co
Fact. -

I've dismantled the BMC and am in the process of selling it bitwise.
The team foil above is pretty high on my list. Doesnt look nearly as sexy as that in XS though :(
Might just give in to my middle age urges and get a Cervelo S3.
-
• #424
S3? Didnt you want low stack frame? Or are you going to run a Pista stem like this guy?
And for S3 money; Aeroroad CF SLX shirley?
-
• #425
I have Nice Wheels, and a P2M crankset. So I dont really need a Complete bike. Which makes canyon less bargintastic. Still good though.
A 51 S3 With a -17mm stem raises my bars only 6mm. Which is probably a good thing.
Trouble is. What I need is a great climbing / decending bike. But what I want is a fast looking aero bike.
Hence looking at the foil and S3.
Bloody hell...... think I'll stick with my 2.4" Ardent :-/
