I've just got a Rodina R005, the Nomos Tangente 'homage'. What's a good and cheap brown strap to pair it with? Not too thick and padded but with a bit of texture, quite dark? Oh and 20mm.

Steinhart arrived, looks good...

Really fucked off with them about the ceramic bezel tho', they blanket refused to fit it citing that it would make the watch'used', 'your watch guy will for it for you'... Fuck off! It's a custom order, you nipples!

Now Alsal are saying they won't touch it as the chance of breakage is too high...

To Steinhart's credit, they sent me a black NATO and a cute little screwdriver (that I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do with) in the box... I have no idea if this is normal...

Mine came fitted with the ceramic bezel so I'm not sure why they couldn't do yours!

Alsal are just afraid of breaking the insert that's already in there. If you don't care about that, I'm sure they'll be fine.

If you want to do it yourself, get a hairdryer and blast the bezel for a couple of minutes then prize it off with a thin screwdriver or craft knife.

Massive advertising campaign... i now also see it advertised in the Canary Wharf shopping centre on those electronic billboards they have in the middle of the walk way. Sharing space with Dyson Hot and Cold blade-less fans.

They're a significant Mercedes sponsor. Ceramic brakes are round, ceramic parts of the watch are round, there's your inspiration. More marketing bullocks. Because they're a sponsor of a car company you're going to boycott their watches? That's a bit harsh.
