Anyone know a good place to get hold of a 1" star nut? I bought a complete bike and the joker had overtightened/badly installed the old one completely destroying it.

will use the alan i haz for a low key number, with campag triomphe, gruppo has no brake levers and frame missing one dt shifter boss barrell but has the square bit, so i figure i'll loctite the dt cable guide onto the square bit, and use 8 speed brifters ,should make for a nice alu winter beast

I need to do the maintenance to a dura-ace track hubs.
The cones of the front wheel are 16.7mm, the cones of the back wheel 16.2mm
What should I purchase 16mm, 17mm or both? -

Loving this atm, although wimbledon common is limited riding wise.
Gonna lower the stem and cut the steerer I think. And buy matching grips.

It's not a bike, but it is bike-related. I need to replace the bearings in a Zipp wheel, so I've made up some tooling to do it properly. From left to right: expanding punch for removing bearings with a 17mm ID, bearing press with mandrels for 25mm OD/17mm ID bearings, and a thingy for holding a freehub in place while the bearings are tapped out. And finally, a 1/8" chain whip, because I didn't have one, needed one ASAP, and so decided just to make one.

Daily ride all sorted and nice, only issue is the clearance between mudguard and tire where the brake bridge is, ideas? It's the metal thingy that gives mudguard contact point at brake bridge, that rubs lightly at certain wheel positions
Cnopt holding parts for Tomaspuika Mielec when I get my hands back on it.Now need to sell everything I don't need and get another fixed wheelset and build wheels for The Look

Get rid of the metal thingy.
Drill or hot punch hole in fender, get or make an "L" bracket and install.
Take sip of beverage, wonder at the ensuing stillness. -

You may need to shave the head of the bolt on the underside of fender once it's on to minimize chances of contact.

Then take off the bracket, find an L shape mount and drill hole under mudguard.

Just buy some Tektros or Shimanos.
-
• #96973
Probably should but it would ruin the parts matching I've got going on.
-
• #96974
Don't forget to add the Paul crankset while you're at it.

got silver sram rival cranks and will have silver s500 levers hopefully to match.
That looks real nice, I hope it fits you!
