The months of invisible ninjas begins.

If you really want to be an invisible ninja I
d recommend getting a new bike made with this stuff : http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/vantablack--the-blackest-black-leading-sculptor-anish-kapoor-announces-plans-to-use-new-substance-9751291.html & when available you could get your kit as well. A sunny Sunday afternoon in rural Yorkshire ride revealed 2 tourists in full ninja gear but with 2 sets of front light on flash mode & those good old Cateye LD1100
s on the rear doing the disco thing. -

If you really want to be an invisible ninja I'd recommend getting a new bike made with this stuff! Its called Vantablack & is blacker than anything else - have a look for it on the Independent website
& when available you could get your kit made up as well.

With DRL`s on new vehicles I think there is a light on in the daytime arms race about to develop. -
• #797
The opposite of GSFL is the arms race that is retina searing rear lights.
I really really wouldn't want some of the ones I see on my commute. Simply because you can't trust the motorists behind to be able to safely pass something they're unable to look even in the general vicinity of. They may ward off many people, but they're not going to ward off the fuckwit who now can't see you well enough and is going to try and pass you anyway.

Hi!
admittedly my front light ran out on the three hour bike ride and I had two exposures making everything behind me red...
It's actually quite nice riding through parks at night with no lights though... until my glasses steamed up and I almost ran over the pedestrians...

Was told this morning by a another cyclist that my lights should be flashing and not static beam, is this true, totally unaware of this if it is.

Static is absolutely fine (as is flashing). Other cyclist is a pillock if they were inferring that you are legally obliged to have flashing lights. For reference:

Usually I do the fist clench/fist open thing.
