  • Where can i get relacement bolts for my novatec/BDW track hubs? My are slowly turning to cheese each time i tighten the wheel...

  • Newbie question here, when i shift up twice from the lower cog upwards with ultegra, is it normal for the chain to only go up one cog and have difficulty going up twice?

  • No. Sounds like your shift cable isn't tensioned enough. Try adding a tiny bit of tension. Try in increments so you don't over do it.

  • It needs adjusting. If the chain is slow to go up the cog you need to turn the barrel adjuster on the cable where it joins the rear mech half a turn anti-clockwise and try again. Keep repeating until it shifts properly.

  • Cheers all, will give it a go

  • Thats probably the best way I've ever seen barrel adjustment explained. Will need to #bookmark.

  • Given that you'd only ever use a few drops, the alcohol content of your drink would be almost homeopathic.

So you'd end up with an immunity to alcoholism, I guess.

But unless BQ is doing this for strict religious reasons, which I kinda doubt, bitters would be safe to use.

  • best non-alcoholic cocktail?

This Summer was all about the virgin mojitos.

  • Are they not just normal headset topcap bolts? Mine were.

  • We have an extractor fan type thing (the type you normally get in the bathroom, not a cooker hood) on the outer wall of our kitchen that doesn't seem to have a plug anywhere so much be wired behind the wall.

It goes off literally all the time every couple of hours for half an hour, even if Im just sat in the lounge not doing anything in the kitchen it'll just come on when it feels like it.

Its really loud and annoying, how can I:
    A) turn it off for good
    B) stop it coming on all the time
    C) kill it

  • It might be coming on because it has a humidity sensor: I wouldn't turn it off for good, unless you're a cheesemaker.

  • Because the printer is a loss leader and they need you to buy cartridges reeeally often.

It'd be cheaper running the printer on champagne...It forces me to buy online from here on in.

  • I'm not giving up booze, so a little bitters is ok. It's just that I've found myself buying more and more in preference to cola or orange, even when I don't really want to drink alcohol, and I think it's mainly down to the fact that I don't really have a sweet tooth. Cutting down on both would he beneficial for my weight too.

  • Are all ten speed Shimano derailleurs and shifters compatible? I want to use 105 5700 shifters with Tiagra 4600 derailleurs.

  • Are all ten speed Shimano derailleurs and shifters compatible?

All the road groups can be mixed and matched, but you can't mix road and MTB. If you want to do that, you have to #maketheleap

  • but you can't mix road and MTB.

    9 speed MTB derailleur surely?

  • I'll take your word for it, I made the leap and I'm not going back.

  • I like Bavaria Wit beer which is in the style of Hoegaarden, is reviewed well and dirt cheap @ £2.50 6 X 330ml bottles in Tescos. The fruit beer version is a bit meh.

  • Some sparkling mineral water like badoit and a good cordial like bottlegreen's ginger and lemongrass works a treat. Also fond of lime and soda or tonic water with a slice of lemon

  • Cool, just what I wanted to hear. Thanks

  • Does anywhere still have silver sram s500 levers in stock?

  • A quick ghetto hack might be to fill the empty cartridges with water.

Home printing is a waste of money - far cheaper to pay by the page in a Prontaprint or similar.

  • Any suggestions for a small, portable, USB charger for topping up phone battery?
I already have a big Anker battery pack but want something that could easily fit in a pocket for emergencies. Doesn't even need to fully charge a phone. Cheers.
