I have cyclescheme on the go at the moment mate, really simple decide how much you want to spend then they send you a voucher to take to a retailer then they give you the bike nice and simple.
money gets deducted from monthly salary
-
• #60
Excuse me?
@Sunsolo17 thanks chap, what sort of monthly reduction are we talking?
-
• #61
depends how much you want to spend on a bike mate I bought a forme 29er mtb, this is the link which will show how much your monthly cost is, you can spend up to £2000 so go crazy haha

• #62
So it's basically like getting it on finance with a bit of money off? I have gone through the calculators etc before but thought I was missing something, guess not. Thanks though!
-
• #63
yeh but the good thing is it doesn't show up as "credit or finance" so wont effect you in that way which is why I got it, I saved about £300 of my bike, not really mate mine finishes in December so ill let you know how the final process go's
-
• #64
Ah, that's a good point, I didn't think of that. That'd be great, thanks again.
So how does everyone feel about Yum Yums?
-
• #65
It's basically 0% finance plus saving national insurance and income tax on the cost of the deductions
I wouldn't hesitate to do it but I can't have a company car and be on the cycle scheme!!
More importantly, yum yums are fucking awesome...
-
• #66
so saving as in you get some of it deducted?
And yes, Yum Yums trump doughnuts every day of the week

• #67
Excuse me?
The bones in your arse! They're the main contributor to finding a comfortable saddle, and is why top end saddles offer different widths. Find out what size you need - buy saddle with appropriate width - never have saddle trouble again :)

The specialized taupe I had was really comfy, I just didn't like the look of it....
I'm missing the point aren't I?!

Aha I know what they are, I was being sarky. Although like most of us I sit and look at new bikes 24/7, I've never invested much time in looking for the right bike. Same goes for parts, it looks it's and it's cheap, it's going on. Maybe it's time to plan save and invest in something right (lol)

Best perch for me by far.
Ive already got 2 bikes and a pair of shoes out on the C2W scheme and am very tempted to get another bike when the current payments are finished.
