  • Might be best to ask in any questions answered given the traffic there but I'll try here first as it seems most appropriate.

I've just started doing yoga at work and I love it. I'd like to practice at home and thought a mat would be a good idea. Can anyone recommend a good one or are they all pretty much the same? There seems to be a bewildering range of options.

During practice I get rather sweaty and my hands tend to slide a bit. Can anyone recommend a non-slip cover for the mat? Again there are many options out there and I've no way to guage their effectiveness without buying one.

  • +1 for manduka.

They also do a very thin, foldable mat "eKO lite", that's perfect for throwing in your bag, and using on top of (sweaty) studio mats. It's made from natural rubber, very 'grippy'.
