A BMW Gangsta? I'd kill for one but don't have the silly money for the frameset!

TIL 67 gear inches is not enough for even a slowish club ride. And that having your chain come off and then lock the wheel just as you're pulling onto a verge and stacking you hurts

@Sunsolo17 I'd have kept the old light mount on the forks, it's a nice little quirk to remind you of the age of the bike.

I know, my girlfriends dad said the same.. but I just fancied a smooth look after it gets powder coated Tuesday....

Today I realised that we've had so many new folks joining I have no idea who anyone is anymore. Time for a Names and Faces thread?
-
• #759
Good idea!
-
• #760
Bike plus person perhaps?!
-
• #761
Exactly that, Chris. Looks as though Tom has started one but not added a picture of himself or his steed!

Today I beat my old top speed, managed 40.5mph down Skeets hill :)
Think the 14t might have to make an achey-legged comeback..
-
• #763
Think I might "need" a carbon speed steed soon!!
-
• #764
Something like this?
Complete with silly bars and wheels for speed...
Or do I just get one of these and be sensible?
Or do I buy a road bike as it seems the thing to do for longer rides?
Like this one, http://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/CBPXSLPULT6800/planet-x-pro-carbon-shimano-ultegra-6800-road-bike
Seems a good price for the spec etc

Personally id go steel, though if you're going carbon, go all out with deep rims etc!
-
• #766
I've already got 60mm crabonz!
-
• #767

-
• #768

Haha, Sometimes having a garage can be a bad thing - it'll take a while to run out of space!

Haha, my wife pays no attention to how many bikes I collect and she never goes in the garage!!
Could go for one of those fixed Brooklyn works bikes Rikki? Haha! Best of both
