Exactly... the whole shape is pretty much ruined.
I've been looking at something like http://www.kingandallen.co.uk/ to try and get something made to measure for around £400.
More pain for the credit card, but who wants to look ridiculous on their wedding day?

Get the trousers of your suit taken in and wear a waistcoat under your jacket. My wedding suit jacket was too big, waistcoat helped fill it out. I went for a linen one to go with the tweed.
