From the internet facts I've read I wouldn't build A23 up less than 28/32h. The KinLin / BHS is deeper and regularly gets built up on WW in 20/24h or 20/28h so I'm sure 20/28h will be fine for you if you need a low spoke count.
I don't think your weight matters as much as you think on a winter wheelset. Obviously @60kg you need less spokes than me to hold you up, but if you hit a pot hole because it's hidden by a puddle or slip, etc. regardless it's still going to ping out of shape. In which case on a drizzly autum/winter/spring evening you'd want a wheel that you can ride home rather than calling a taxi/your mum to pick you up, no? Otherwise why not get a set of 50mm carbon clinchers with an alu brake track?

I've been riding a pair of 28 spoked A23's on my Tarck Biek for 2-3 years now and they've been absolutely solid as a rock. Not gone a spot out of true in all that time, although admittedly without breaking forces.
Sorry, I don't think I've been as clear as I could have been when posing my initial question here. These will be my wheels. I'll sell my current set of Ksyriums and replace them with these, so while they'll be ridden over the winter, they'll probably stay on the bike until I can be bothered / afford some stupid carbon. Might just go for the KinLin/BHS option and get on with it.
@edscoble: nah to 501s, Width is an absolute necessity.
I'm about 60kg and unlikely to get any heavier. I feel like anything more than 20/24 would be a waste of spokes. For that reason, 100g per rim between the A23's and the Dyads seems pointless, especially when you'd add extra spokes too, even though the Dyads are slightly wider.
Are the wide Kinlins any lighter than A23s?
