I did! At 1:45 I was a minute slower than my last half, but I was running with a friend for the first 7 miles who was targeting 1:50 so I was running a little slower than I would have been if I was on my own. After the 7 mile marker I sped up a little and ran the rest at my own pace.
Seemed quite a nice course, lots of cyclists out along the route as well as kids giving out sweets. Highlights for me were the 4-in-a-row high five I gave to a group of children, and overtaking a lot of people who had gone past us in the first 7 miles.
I feel a million times better than after the last half I ran which made me pretty useless for a couple of days, so that's a good sign for general running fitness gains. Legs are a bit stiff but I'll have a little jog later and do some stretching which should help.
The winner got around the course in 1:07:35, which is ridiculously fast!
Anyone else run Maidenhead Half today?
