It happened before tv coverage began, but from I've read it was carnage. Morabito was run over twice by race motorbikes. Eurosport showed footage of the aftermath and it took 30 seconds before the camera picked up Quintana, who was a bit further up the verge than the rest. There were at least ten riders down, if not more.
