You only need them on the front.

The Giant would be my 1st thought but does it have guard eyelets?
-
• #6005
Harley?
-
• #6006
I think I read in the blurb that it has hidden mudguard mounts.
-
• #6007
Or I could go custom built.. that would facilitate midfoot better and I could spec whatever other shit I fancied.
-
• #6008
Unless you want a carbon fork with disc mounts, mudguard eyelets and room for 28mm tyres...
-
• #6009
Why is that? Boardman, Giant, etc all have this type of fork available, no?
-
• #6010
Oh wait, I was thinking of Dammit's issues with finding one, but now I remember that he didn't want the length of a cyclocross fork.
-
• #6011
He's got issues. I'm an off the shelf and make it work kinda guy.
Scherrit was over though and mentioned it. I know he's done some specs for Burls in the past so it's a possibility. I like the idea of being able to just grab another one from a shop rather than waiting months to have something built though. I don't do the whole artisan thing - I just want utility and I want it quick. Still, custom would mean I could have it specced to do whatever I wanted. Discs seem like a nice idea but then I'll need to adjust everthing again for the race bikes. Gaahh! -

No Hope V Twin

then I'll need to adjust everything again for the race bikes. Gaahh!
Give up racing = Problem solved.

I'm running 30's at present and want to go to 32/35's

• #6015
No tanks. I want full hydro to eliminate cables or I'll just stick to rim brakes.

• #6017
Spending hour after hour on British roads almost requires a kidney belt like moto x. :)
I still want to test ride a fatbike for my commute route :)
-
• #6018
I think I read in the blurb that it has hidden mudguard mounts
It has a clever little adapter which bolts on the back of the seat clamp which allows you to mount a rack. There are also 'guard mounts on the inside of the seat stays (at least there are on a TCX SLR 2)

Has anyone picked up a 2014 Ridgeback Flight 04, its a good looking bike and at 799 in the sales its a tempting price. I wish it were just a single speed bike with drop bars though rather than an internal hubbed one.
Any thoughts on it?

Is there something like this Orbea Avant but metal and cheaper?
road.cc/content/review/118552-orbĀea-avant-road-bike28s+, mudguards, Di2, hydraulic discs
"heavy wheels and high overall weight blunt its speed and climbing ability" LOL 8.5kg
blame the tools why don't ya?!If you're not bother about the aesthetics what about the disc equilibrium and then just run the cables on the outside with those shimano sticky pad things?
-
• #6021
Fork not tru-axle;
-
• #6022
If I was going discs I'd want the Shimano Di2 offering.
-
• #6023
Anyone know a frame that will do T-rex proportions? I ride 53 top tube 57 seat tube
-
• #6024
Why you need long seat tube? Can't you just raise the saddle?
-
• #6025
repped
Are all the road disc mounts the same or do you need to worry about Shimano or Hope specific mounting holes?
