The 5D ii is right in the middle in terms of colour response at 80. Its not a metric worth exclusively chasing though, because you'd end up with a 1000D which gets 88.

Its also to do with how they changed the processing, going from 12 bit digic ii/iii to 14 bit digic 4 etc.

can anyone recommend me a small digital camera to compliment my pentax me-super?

Really depends on what you want to use it for. Do you want a zoom? How small should it be? How big a sensor do you want it to have?

Zoom? APS C, micro 4/3, thumbnail sensor?
Photoben was selling a tiny fuji that would probably suit if you don't mind the small sensor, he mentioned it a page or two back. If you want a bigger sensor you may have to forego having a zoom.

Yeah I don't really care for zoom , I could go a bit bigger just something small to carry around at all times

Nice one will. The screen photo from other page is cool, natural vignette.
Fuji XF1 is sold, but it only cost me £129 which is fuck all, and the quality is there. There are better compacts out there for sure, but not at that price.

@WillMelling, those dog images are great - really odd movement.
^ Tina, obviously I like that :) been using the 40mm on a crop too recently which I hadn't tried before, its actually quite a nice focal length for tightly framing things. And its the size of a body cap.

Absolutely love my wee GX1, even the kit power zoom lens is pretty decent.
