• Hi, new member and first post so here goes.
    I own what is believed to be the frame that was used by Bradley Wiggins during his 1998 track season. It is a Graham Weigh 853 mega millennium and is most likely a Donohue build , originally it was bright yellow with black chequered decals , it has 48 seat tube and 56 top tube, both C/C, and is near identical to the Team Brite frameset on the first page, Lo-Pro 700c and takes a very long seat post.
    I purchased it from Deeside Cycles late 1998, I recall them saying that is was a sponsorship frame and was made specifically for the pursuit, I paid £275 for frame and forks.
    There was a picture in cycling weekly earlier that year of Brad riding the frame so I have good faith that it's history is reliable.
    Top tube is round, down tube teardrop, seat tube is made of two sections, the lower section is a kind of oval section with a scalloped rear face allowing the rear wheel to sit inside the tube, at the top there is the second section that transfers from oval to round and it also changes the angle of the seat tube, the seat stays have been flattened off too, making them very narrow. All Tig welded to a very high standard. I've used this frame for road Time Trials since 1999, in 2004 I set lifetime personal bests of 19:10 for 10 miles and 50:48 for 25 miles both on 108". It had a respray around 2003 by Deeside and more recently a change of colour and air brushed graphics in 2011 by Skunk Custom. Following the success of Brad I'm now considering changing the frame back to its original colour and building up as it would have been for his individual pursuit races
    I'd be interested if anyone has further information, pictures or the copy of the cycling weekly that shows Brad and the bike.
