Fail. Even the cruds rub all around with 28mm duranos on a23 rim.
-

Not surprised that Cruds don't like the width of those rims. They're designed for 23Cs on 19mm rims really.
I run the smallest Chromoplastics with 28C tyres on A319 rims on the winter bike and they just about fit but some of the mounting plates are quite close on either side of the tyre. You might just get away with them on a Vig.

If you have a23 rims, surely going a size smaller would help, especially when 25mm felt like 28mm on it.

Running 28c Gatorskins on CXP33 rims and Chromeplastics on my Vig. The clearance is super-tight and they took an age to set up just right. Live in fear of the 'guards getting knocked.... Will probably go 25c next time round.

Put some 25mm Duranos on yesterday, chromoplastic narrow fenders today. Clearance looks good. I'll have have to crop the front brake tab like Regal did - Stronglight a9 is even more greedy for space than CK.
Edit: pics.. that's with 10mm hacksawn off the top. The >90° angle on the bracket makes the front part rise away from the wheel, but it's tolerable. I didn't want to bend the bracket and risk pulling the rivets out of the guard.

Anyone got a small (19"-20" - or 49-51cm) Bob Jackson Vigorelli Track they want to sell me, either complete or just F&F?
-

You really need to be more specific by small.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I found an email from Bob Jackson which may help confirm anybody elses queries:
"....because of the Higher B/B on the Vigorelli we always say 1/2" less. So 22.5" Road would be a 22" Vig."
Might be worth having people add their standover height measurements etc., given that Bob Jackson don't specify the geometry (which is a shame).
-

Bob Jackson informed me that the standover height on a 23" Vigorelli is 33.5", and for a 23.5" the standover is 34".

Not much talk about bj vigorellis lately in here. However, I fell in love with my vigorelli again after I finally got around to finish the rebuild of it. It's a 25.5"/65cm frame. Readers wife of course but it's ok here isn't it?

If not, it should be.
Nice looking piece of British steel there. -

I love my vigorelli too!

Readers' wives are positively encouraged ITT.
Nice gate. Those tyres look great on it.

Though Motorcity must be a giant! The saddle must be head height for me.

Thanks!
I'm 6'7" so taller than most people. Happy to find a frame that I can ride even if I would probably benefit from a frame that was a tiny bit higher.

Brand spanking new Vigorelli out of the box.
First impressions: paint job is a bit rough. -
• #544
^ never get the lugs lined… But apart from that, the rough paint is one of the reasons why you can still get a lugged frame made in Britain for under £450. Embrace it.

Wow, that's some serious wheel clearance.
What front brakes are you guys running? -

Shimano BR-6700 now, just about works. The BR-6600 I had on before had a bit more leeway. The 6700 is right at the bottom of its adjustment range.

Totally this.
It's why my restored Carlton was a nice surprise, even though the work was done in Ohio.
Shitty paint for the wabi sabi win.
It'd be snug alright. Think I'll run the crud guards for now and leave chromoplastics and/or 25mm tyres for a future upgrade.
