  • aye, i was thinking it would be good cx land

  • I have no idea what to do with it

  • @Nike666 give it to me? :)

  • Anyone running a 28c Pasela on a 23mm rim?
I'd love to put it on the Goldsprint for a second to check if the front clearance is OK.. :)
Alternatively could you measure how wide and tall it sits?

I could mount one an archetype and meet up wherever? I'm in N1 - drop me a PM if needed

  • Anyone know where I can get a decent quality pair of 12" (12 1/2") rims like the ones that come on the Specialized Hotwalk balance bikes?

  • Almost there, had to file off the paint from the dt shifters mount and felt pretty bad doing it... Tomorrow I will try to understand that weird world of Syncro indexing.

  • Jeepers! Century finish C-Record? Looks so good with pink.

No doubt you're familiar with the articles on Tearsforgears (one and two)?

  • I want to carry some small stuff without a sweaty back
I will probably zip tie a basket on there before too long
haterz know what they can do

also new forks (old ones got bent) which are straight blade and look around 10% radder maybe 15%

  • wooof... a nice pinarello. only ever saw one other of those (forum member erikjonsson's fluro yellow pina)

  • @shinkuu_kiss

    That is rad! Proper sweet.

  • oh i so love this bike

  • It is actually a relatively cheap graphite finish mix of athena and chorus (apart from the delta brakes, croce d'aune, much easier to find than the chorus monoplanners or even athena on that finish, if anyone has them I can swap the delta for some extra $$$).
I found the syncro shifters nos (with both 7 and 8 speed ring) so with original instructions, but thanks for the article in case I won't make it with the original prints ;)

  • Shinkuu that's awesome!!

  • Q: when cabling canti's for CX, what sort of housing is best?

Regular, as you would for calipers?
    Sealed, like GORE?
    Nokon type?
    Brakeless? :)

  • .
    (caught out by new forum)

  • Since CX is a little messy I'd go for sealed, or full length housing.
Compressionless or not is up to how much money you want to spend.

  • i have to change brakes on my cx, front really judders when halting

  • Is the a cable guide on the fork? That can help. It's setup usually, try different straddle heights.

If you need a fork mounted cable guide, I have a spare.

  • Might be interested if you sell?

  • Full length isn't an option because of the TT cable guide type.

It might depend on what my LBS can get but who makes good sealed cabling? Just GORE?

  • Pretty much, jagwire now do some too, search "jagwire elite sealed", being jagwire I imagine it's very good, though it is quite expensive.

  • I botched some together out of some Jagwire connector parts and 3mm teflon tubing for the exposed bit. works quite well on my Cross Check.
I can take a picture of it when I get home.
Its quite a cheap alternative as you can use any 5mm housing, and the parts you need are probably under £10

  • @miro_o I am using aligator ilinks (as they can be had cheap from taiwan) covered in heatshrink tubing to stop dirt getting in between the links.
