  • 2015 Nature Boy?

  • What (apart from seatpost and saddle) is wrong with that?

  • It's the posh Nature Boy... 853, Whisky fork

  • £730 for Frameset doesn't seem outrageously expensive.

  • Seems a bit expensive for a fancy pompino

  • Different geo, 44mm headtube, full carbon fork, disc tabs, 853.

  • ^^ decent bait

  • Just bought the purple nature boy and now feel very inferior - want that 853 one

  • not sure if this should be here or FBNPNA but does anyone know anything about the Cotic Escapade? My mate has a Roadrat and I am not a fan of the looks or geo- the Escapade looks much more inline with what I am after, just not a fan of loads of seatpost sticking out. At 6ft 3in I normally ride a 60cm Crosscheck- would the flag pole with a saddle on top look too weird?

  • I was admiring @makko 's escapade not long ago.

Although it's not an SSCX build, it looks great built up! Not a huge amount of seatpost, but it depends if you need/want more scoblebricks than shown?

  • Would it look weird? I think thats very personal thing. Cotic defines it as "ultra compact geo", and atleast i like it, although mine doesn't have that much seat post showing (compared to some pictures in internets) since i'm a short fella and went for medium. Sizing of these can be a bit weird compared to like road bikes, they have very short reach and loads of stack, which is just perfect for my usage but not necessarily for everyone.

Other than that, i fucking love mine. Best damn bike i've ever had. Only annoyance is the fork with it's bolt through eyelets and not having low-rider mounts, but you could always buy it without the fork... (frame only is £249) Gonna take gears off for the winter and build it as some sort of frankenmonstersscx 8)

  • It's an ugly thing. Is that a good place to run a rear brake hose/cable?

  • I would tap that

  • The cable / hose has full length housing so you can run it where you want really.

  • Not ideal if you put a hand there to shoulder, or wrap your arm around the tube when shouldered.

  • Nah it's fine - there's nothing forcing you to pick up the bike that way or use the arm-under-downtube method. Some frames can't be picked up that way at all due to their geo.

  • I prefer it to reaching around the HT but the bike's rear wheel sticks out making me very wide. I suppose that could be seen as a good thing.

  • What (apart from seatpost and saddle) is wrong with that?

I just think it looks like any other cross bike now. Thats the prototype, production models will have a thicker downtube so it can blend into the crowd more!

The lime green nature boy was my favourite, if they just added discs to that it'd be perfect.

  • If you can live without the lime green, there's always this.

  • They should do that NB in neon yellow. I'd buy it then.

  • I would shed that

    Ftfy

  • @dan

that joke has less of an impact on here bro

  • Any idea how heavy those All City bikes are?
