To be honest, it's the first time I've ever run a road half so I didn't really know what to expect (always raced off road) so I just wanted to go under 90 but as close to 80 as I could.
I set off a bit quick, ran a 6:02, then a 6:03 the first two miles. I'm very happy with 1:25, it just would have been a lot nicer to run an even 6:30 pace the whole way rather than what I did!
I'd like to take a few minutes off at Maidenhead in two weeks (very flat by all accounts), then I need to ramp up the miles for Beachy Head Marathon again!
I quite fancy Snowdon one year, I take it you'd recommend it?
Cracking time, what were you hoping for if that was you fading badly ?I'm hoping to get near 1:25 in Cardiff and then it's my favourite race of the year Snowdon Marathon :) don't know if I'll be able to but I'm going all out for sub 3:15 at Snowdon, so it will either be 3:14 something or 3:40 something :D
