I think those were built by Garry Fisher, and they're the first Italian mountain bikes, from what I remember (defo didn't come with a suspension fork though).
this was a 2nd gen, the rampichione arione 10, came with sus forks as factory spec, airone was an italian mtb magazine, the first rampichino was in'85,with lugging, steel forks and a collaboration with fisher
RAMPICHINO 10
Back off the road after 10 years, but it's not a remake. Once
again, it's "the bike that hadn't been thought of ". A high quality
off-road tourer, not a racer, but based on ten years of racing
experience. Green Line Custom sprung torks, Royal elastomer saddle
and Tom Ritchey Z Max tyres with knobby treads developed for this
bike. A new concept mountain bike, for a cultured and evolved
public. Frame built with Columbus Thron tubes, Shimano STX
groupset, Geometry (18" size): seat angle 73=B0, head angle 70=B030',
chain stay length 423mm, rake 43mm. Colour: Rampichino Green Hard
