It doesn't matter how much your burning. It will be more than your body can absorb in the same given time. That's why you eat/drink your 70g* of carbs per hour - pretty much whatever riding you're doing.
*depends on body how trained the individual is but we're talking 30g range. This is all the body can deal with.
