  • Im worried the medium canyon will mean I'm relying on masses of seatpost.

Generally a good thing as it would absorb the vibration from the road more, reckon medium will be fine, they tend to have a very tall headtube for the size.

  • Thanks for the replies, I did the online sizing app thingy and it came up with a medium. Its just my measuring was a bit approximate.

  • As above... Canyon do still offer the 30 day trial, the caveat of this is that if the size you need to swap to is out of stock you have to wait for the next batch to be made. I believe the new seasons stock is coming out late September so I there are not going to be any more batches made of the 2014 models.

If its is a minor tweak they offer stem swaps, as mentioned above, but waiting times can be longer than you might expect as stems are attributed to existing orders. Personally I would wait for the new stock to come out and order then.

  • Aesthetics are the only thing differenting medium and the large - since the reach is 12mm longer on the large, easily compensated by a 12mm shorter stem.

So do you like the look of bike with extra seat post showing and longer stem, or normal seat post show and the rounding edge of the drop bar parked behind the front hub in a vertical line - I prefer the first "trackish" look and the extra weight distribution on the front wheel, being the front end parked closer under you as a consequence of the shorter TT.

  • Rose have a new Xeon RS frame and fork (bonkers-light 1050g 57cm frame and sub 300g fork) so 2014 models are on sale.

    £1700 gets a 6780 model. Agghhh.

    (cuts up credit card)

  • There is some issue with their brake bridge; even a 25mm tyre rubs .. @jammy has one

  • Oh really?

The 2015 frame has room for 25s, but Rose mentioning this does suggest earlier frames do not.

This makes resisting easier! 25s are starting to become the norm.

  • endurance AL frameset option is tempting for a winter trainer/mile-muncher

  • 5th floor colourway AL slx is niiiiiice too

  • Endurance AL frameset has the same stack and reach as the RoadLite AL .. at least in L(58) size and that can be had as a frameset for £367 as long as you don't mind not having the words Endurance stickered on it ..

  • Endurance AL with 5800 for £899 is bargainous.

  • So no new track bike for 2015...

  • Yeah I saw @jammy 's one in flesh with 23c tyres .. VERY tight

  • That bike is upright even for me !

  • Have you broken another one already ho?

  • Where's their disc bike?

  • Julianan Buhring has one!

  • more 2015 bikes to come surely (new aeroad innit)

hopefully they'll update at least the colourways on the SLX #noredonbikes

  • Soon...will explain my thread later...return of te crack...#reppingcrackyon

  • No way. Again. Wtf.

Time for a refund and to buy something else dude.

  • Looking at this option now, seriously pissed off! (only took it to one ride and this happen)

Will be posting the image soon and hopefully getting some viable feedback (and abuse) for another track bike.

  • The one you keep breaking is alloy or carbon?

  • Alloy

  • Track bike is cracking @Dammit, though I did get the 2.0 seatpost for the carbon roadie, but seeing what happening on the bikeradar thread (and my bad luck in cracking bikes) I'll thought it would be best to stick with the standard seatpost.
