Probably been mentioned earlier in this thread but there is a vast hole in Camberwell, just after Coldaharbour Lane, heading towards Camberwell Green. It's cavernous. Roughly 3' x 1.5' and a foot deep.

Considering that South London is populated by troglodytes, that's not hugely surprising.

Acton is having some major work done but I will assume like every other bit of road work I've seen done in this country, they won't make it even and it'll be falling apart in 3 months anyway.

On an unrelated note, why the hell does relaying some pipes on Bishopsgate take so farking long? Don't they employ Polish workers in the City or something? They'd have finished it months ago.

I haven't seen the works in question, but I can guarantee you that even Polish workers would be left scratching their heads at the complexity of London's underground services. People have been putting stuff underground in London for hundreds of years and it's never easy to sort out. Plus, London almost never does works like this by completely closing a street, adding to the delay.

It's not underground. It's removing a footpath to lay some pipes.

Reported massive pothole on the A40 westbound near the traffic island before Fulmer Road.

Just reported Grahame Park Way, it's all over the place with huge potholes and lots of uneven bits.

What about Picadilly, eastbound, descending from Hyde Park Corner Roundabout. The whole road, particularly the left hand/bus lane, is cratered like the moon.

Pothole in Putney reported on Thursday morning. Fixed when I went past it again on Saturday morning.

@hippy what does a surface dressed road look like after it's been done? as it gets worse?

Just old or is this kinda weird rough bits where it's breaking up from how it was surfaced/dressed/laid?

Maybe the same as above but deeper cracks rather than rough areas.

Lastly typical "patches" usually from utilities digging up to lay cables/pipes/stuff or when potholes are repaired similar but with more square shapes.

On the more extreme end of things is it stuff like this which is sadly on one of my more regular routes down to balham(they missed a spot...)
